Flying in: You can fly into Rome or Naples. (Naples is the closer airport)
If you fly into Rome --> it's very easy to take the train (only 1 hour) to Naples. Flying into Rome will usually be cheaper.
- Take the high speed train from Rome (Roma Termini Station) to Naples (Napoli Centrale Station & is a 1 hour train ride) or hire a car/fly to Naples
- Naples to Sorrento via train (Circumvesuviana train, 45 min)
-The final step will be getting from the town of Sorrento or Salerno to the town of Amalfi. You can taxi, take the bus, or take a ferry.

OPTIONS FOR GETTING FROM ROME AIRPORT --> ROME TRAINS STATION
(These options are also available if you plan to fly into Naples direct)
From Rome airport (Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino) to the Rome train station for onward travel to Naples, you have a few options either by:
- Taxi: they can be found at designated taxi stands just outside the airport terminal. It's advisable to use official licensed taxis and request the fare estimate before starting.
- Private transfer: various private transfer companies offer this service, and you can find them through online search engines or travel agencies.
- Shuttle bus: Terravision and other shuttle bus companies provide services between Fiumicino Airport and Rome Termini Station, 45-60 minutes.
- Train: Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Rome Termini Station: Leonardo Express is a direct train service that operates between Fiumicino Airport and Rome Termini Station, 30 minutes.

OPTIONS FOR GETTING TO THE AMALFI COAST
The final step will be getting from the town of Sorrento or Salerno to the town of Amalfi. You can arrange a private transfer, taxi, take the bus, or take a ferry.
1. Private Transfer.
2. The train service that connects Naples to these destinations is called the Circumvesuviana train, 1 hour.
Once you are either in Sorrento or Salerno (depending on your route) you can either transfer to a driver, taxi or ferry to reach different towns along the Amalfi Coast.
3. Car Rental: if you prefer to drive yourself, you can rent a car from the airport and make your way to the Amalfi Coast.
*Please be mindful that the roads along the Amalfi Coast are extremely narrow, so please make sure you are comfortable driving along steep cliffs.
4. Ferry: both Salerno and Sorrento serve as popular departure points for ferry services to the Amalfi Coast.
They have two major ferry operators that provide services from Salerno to the Amalfi Coast which are Travelmar and Cooperativa Sant'Andrea.
Ferry can take 30 minutes to an hour. Tickets can be purchased at the ferry ticket offices at the ports or sometimes online through the ferry operators' websites.
